[FHCx27] National Chocolate Cake Day

If ever there was a food holiday to celebrate…

We don’t need to tell you too much about chocolate cake. There are very few things that are better. We’ve been looking forward to this day for a while. And we may have eaten a few chocolate cakes along the way.

Let’s face it — there are multitudes of ways we could have gone with this. Cafe LatteCossetta’sPorterhouse… the gas station convenience store

Instead, we kept it light with some cake in a cup!

Cake in a Cup is one of those weight-conscious cakes that really hits the spot. You need:

  1. A box of angel food cake mix
  2. A box of chocolate cake mix
  3. Water
  4. Desired toppings/mix-ins

Mix up the cake mixes real good into one blended powder. Measure out 1/4 cup of powder into a mug. Pour in 3 tablespoons of water. Mix thoroughly with a fork until it’s just a goo without any solids. Microwave for one minute, et voila! CAKE IN A CUP!

Keep it in a container so you can get to it when you want a bit of chocolatey cake goodness.

It can also be fun to add chocolate chips before microwaving, or “garnish” with some sliced bananas. Heck, maybe even throw on some ice cream!

Overall, you’ll be spending very few calories with this sweet delight. That means we can have a second one… right?

Tomorrow is Blueberry Pancake Day!
