[FHCx172] National Vanilla Milkshake Day/National Ice Cream Soda Day

Two ice cream days? Hooray!

TODAY IS NATIONAL VANILLA MILKSHAKE DAY AND ICE CREAM SODA DAY!

Ice cream soda. Yeah, we already did a root beer float. So we had to change it up a little bit. Rather than a black cow, we wanted purple cows – a grape soda float.

This one is tasty! Even AK didn’t mind the carbonation so much because it was tasty.

However, ice cream in soda is not the only way to ingest ice cream. And yet, having ice cream in itself should be enough of a treat. But thanks to the magic of miracles, people took ice cream one step further and created the milkshake. Well, actually, the original “milkshake” back in the 19th century meant a very eggnog-like drink with whiskey.

It was a few decades after that when Steven Poplawski, in 1922, invented the electric blender. Immediately, soda fountains everywhere just thought, “LET’S PUT ICE CREAM IN IT!” Good idea, guys. DDL agrees.

It will also bring boys to the yard.
