TODAY IS NATIONAL LEFTOVERS DAY, NATIONAL MAIZE DAY, AND NATIONAL PARFAIT DAY!
We wanted to do something different from the last couple times we did parfaits. This time we picked up a fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonald’s.
Tastes like fruit and yogurt. NEXT!
Maize. We could have done something elaborate with maize, but instead opted for the cheap stuff: some tasty Xochitl chips. Says “maiz” right on the bag.
Lastly, our dinner came courtesy of last night’s Thanksgiving feast. Of course we went home with these:
There was just so much good that we had to keep eating it. Frankly, we would’ve consumed the calories anyway, it’s just a matter of having them spread out over two days instead of one. That’s being responsible, right?
SPom’s stuffing, sweet potato banana mash, blueberry wild rice, and SPad’s beautiful turkey.
Who doesn’t like leftovers anyway?
Tomorrow is National Cake Day!
IT’S NATIONAL STUFFING DAY!
Thanksgiving is upon us. And when we are told by the Food Holideities that we need to have stuffing today even though we are going to have it on Thursday (and leftovers the following days), we will answer the call. Stovetop style. There’s a reason that this is the number 1 stuffing. It’s so good.
By the way, it doesn’t actually have to be stuffed in anything. Even in the places where it’s called, “dressing” (which is an affront to the food just like “Duck Duck Goose” is incorrect), you don’t actually have to dress anything with it. Just eat it.
Tomorrow is National Cranberry Relish Day!
